Academy life is more than just what goes on inside the classroom; it consists largely of what goes on outside of the classroom–club activities, community service projects, fundraising events, competitions, and a host of other fun opportunities. FFEA is a recognized CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for Early Childhood Acade mies across the state of Florida. Like other ECTA students, PBL ECTA Carats join FFEA and attend the annual district competition when they get to roll up their sleeves and demonstrate all that they have learned in the academy. In other words, the club allows each student to show what they know. This year’s district meeting and competition was especially fruitful for Palm Beach Lakes. ECTA won the following:
1st Place: “Inside Our Schools” Video Competition
2nd Place: Display Competition
3rd Place: Public Speaking Competition
3rd Place: Lesson Planning Competition
