On February 10, five Cadets from the Lakes MC JROTC traveled to Gateway High School in Kissimmee, FL to compete in the Region 2 Drill Competition.  There were 14 Marine Corps JROTC’s present including Palm Beach County’s Boynton Beach and Olympic Heights.  This was the first time that the Cadets competed, and while nerves were high, they did so admirably and laid a foundation to become a great Drill Team moving forward.
There are a total of eight events that each team can compete in, and it is the hope that we will be able to perform in at least three next year.  The Cadets enjoyed themselves and look forward to the opportunity to do better next year. Great effort, Team Rams!
