Fire Academy at PBL Thanks JP Morgan Chase & Co. and the Education Foundation of PBC
October 1, 2019
The Fire Academy at PBL hosted a red, hot community event Saturday, September 28 from 9 am to noon.
The academy was established in August 2018, so appropriately, this past weekend, the school and community welcomed the new academy and cadets. This event also gave the academy the grand opportunity to acknowledge and thank its generous sponsors at JP Morgan Chase & Co and financial managers at the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County. Additionally, the program’s agenda included a fire engine ceremony and photo session as well as the academy’s first fundraiser (a car wash) and a barbecue. The special event was attended by the Chief of Police (and acting Mayor for the City of WPB), the West Palm Beach Fire Rescue Firefighters, the Palm Beach State College Fire Rescue Team, the SDPBC Choice & Career Options Director, some PBL faculty and staff, as well as cadet family and friends. Fun, truly, was had by all!

Hi Mrs. Robinson!!! Thanks so much! We are trying. The Fire Academy (all of the academies really) is doing well–lots of interest from the students. You should come by for a visit.
