While most high schoolers are sleeping in on Saturdays, the dedicated members of the Biotechnology Academy are up and out working in the “outdoor lab”–that is the Biotech garden (LOL)!

Mrs. Chutkan and her students spent their day off extracting weeds, laying down a foundation, and planting new herbs in their garden.  The goal is to restructure and to revive it.  Although the work is tedious and arduous at times, the students love the opportunity they get to bond with their teacher and with one another. Also, working in the garden gives them a chance to get out in the fresh air, soak up a little sun, and get some exercise.

The PBL Ram-i-ly is looking forward to seeing the final product–Great job, Biotech!
