High-Stakes Testing: Yay or Nay?!

On December 10 at 7:30, the students in Teacher Academy 3 and 4 will debate the topic of high stakes testing for children.  Students have been divided by claim (in favor of high stakes testing) and counter claim (against high stakes testing). Students will be scored on overall presentation of subject matter, organization of content, and research of the topic as a whole.  Students are learning the importance of assessment and the different ways (traditional and nontraditional) that teachers assess learners.  PBL faculty members are invited to stop by and listen in (and maybe weigh in) on this timely debate. All are welcome.
